Congregational (Jama'ah) Prayer is of the merits in Islam to extent that the Prophet(S.A.W) is reported to have stated that congregational prayer far exceeds individual by twenty-seven degrees. Congregation prayer is therefore regard as a confirmed Sunnah by a lot of Muslim scholars. Given the above, a Muslim should be keen to attend the congregational prayer at the Mosque. If a Muslim enters the Mosque when the congregational prayer is running, then he has to join the congregation and he will have the merit of the congregation prayer as long he has joined the congregation before the taslim (the final salama) in any of five daily prayers, with the exception of the friday prayer when a person should at least catch the last Rak'ah to be regard as performing Friday prayer. My advice to every Muslim therefore is to prepare early to join the congregational prayer at the Mosque. *
